Window planters – There is no need to spend a large amount of money for an elegant window planter. You can attach a molded plastic or homemade wooden planter under your window with some supplies available at a local hardware store. Installation of these plants does not require construction experience, just the ability to drill a hole. When the planter is hanging, you can sit back and enjoy the beautiful flowers that look like they float out of your windows.
Drill a 1/2-inch hole approximately 1 1/2 inches from each rear corner of a 18-inch or shorter window plants. Drill a center hole for additional support on the window planters longer than 18 inches. Keep planter in hanging position and mark two holes on the wall with a pencil. Drill 1/2-inch-wide hole to a depth of about 1 inch markings on the wall of the hanger. Screw hanger bolt in the drill holes, so there are 2 inches protrude from the wall.
Push window planters on the hanger bolts through the holes in the back of the planter. Insert a disc to bolt end that is inside the box planter. Ensure the window box to the wall by tightening a nut on the end of the bolt inside the planter. Fill the planter box with soil and add your favorite flowers.
